visual communication for complex decisions

Infographics
I design infographics that transform complex data and information into clear, engaging visual narratives. Using custom illustration, charts, and thoughtful data visualization, I help audiences understand what matters and why it matters.
For finance firms and startups
I use data to clarify investment theses, explain market dynamics, and support clear, credible storytelling for sophisticated audiences.
For public agencies and planning firms
Infographics are an efficient way to communicate complex topics to the public. I design visual explainers that make technical information accessible, reduce confusion, and help people grasp the big picture.
City of Tillamook
Context: Public Outreach and Voter Education
Designed an infographic for the City of Tillamook explaining the importance of passing a levy for upgrading the aging public safety emergency communications system.

DAiM
Context: Financial Services
Creating data visualizations for financial market data is something I really enjoy. Here, I took data supplied by my longtime collaborator, DAiM and developed a chart outlining past, present and projected BTC value as it relates to the halving cycle.

Coronavirus Bill
Context: Political Information
During the pandemic, I was having a challenging time making sense of the arguments over the Coronavirus Bill. I made this infographic to help myself and others better understand what was at stake and where funds were projected to be allocated.

Oregon Housing Needs Analysis
Context: Political Information
Designed this infographic series to help Oregon lawmakers understand the suite of bills outlined in OHNA that were designed to tackle Oregon's housing affordability crisis. These same lawmakers could then use these materials to explain the proposed solutions to constituents.

WA Charters
Context: Educational Information
For Washington Charters I designed a series of dashboards to help them understand their analytics and make informed decisions based on the data.

TriMet
Context: Planning Project
Designed this timeline as part of a larger document that explored TriMet's evolution pairing bicycles with their transit service and network.

delivery
Phase 4:
I will take your feedback, apply it to the design and develop a fully formatted draft. This draft will be delivered for you to review and we will iterate until it is final (usually 1-2 revision cycles).
01
project kickoff
Phase One:
We will discuss your goals, constraints, and project schedule, as well as explore your existing materials and brand. Then, I propose a clear scope of work and fee based on the materials required and the time needed to do the work well.
02
DRaft development
Phase 2:
Using our scope as a guide, I will develop and format a draft product(s), or a few concepts depending on context. Content will be edited for clarity and visual elements will be developed to complement it. This draft will demonstrate the look and feel of the future product(s).
03
full design and review
Phase 3:
You will review the draft demo and provide feedback for me to incorporate. Up to three revisions are included in the base scope, with opportunities for further revisions billed at my hourly rate.
my process
My work is highly context-dependent. Scope and pricing are based on the complexity of the material, the audience, and the level of collaboration required.
Most projects follow a four-step process:
-
Project Kickoff
-
Draft Development
-
Full Design and Review
-
Product Delivery
